By Dr. Adams Black. Clearview Animal Hospital, P.C. 18020-A Highway 9. Snohomish, WA 98296. Ph. 360-6683005.

(DHPP-CVK=Distemper, Hepatitis, Parainfluenza, Parvo, Corona)

7 1/2 - 9 WEEKS: DHPP-CVK1 Fecal Examination

9 - 12 WEEKS: DHPP-CVK2

12 - 16 WEEKS: DHPP-CVK3 1-Year Rabies

1 YEAR LATER: DHPP-CVK, 3-Year Rabies, Fecal

YEAR 2 AND EACH ENSUING YEAR: Annual exam and vaccines appropriate for your dog's lifestyle.

Current research shows that most dogs will then only need core vaccines every 3 years. We recommend yearly exams to insure the continued good health of your pet.

Bordatella Vaccine is recommended in kennel situations and is given as a spray up the nose. The vaccine is fast-acting, and will give protection in 2-7 days.

At this time we don't recommend routine vaccination for Lymes, Leptosirosis, or Giardia.

Canine Distemper: is a contagious viral disease seen most frequently in puppies, but all dogs are at risk. It affects the respiratory and nervous system and is often fatal.

Hepatitis: can lead to liver damage.

Parainfluenza: is a viral respiratory disease, and is often partly responsible for "kennel cough".

Parvo: is a highly contagious disease that causes severe diarrhea and vomiting. It is especially deadly in puppies.

Corona: is another contagious gastro-intestinal disease, causing diarrhea and vomiting.

Bordatella: is a bacterial infection usually involved in "kennel cough".
